The New York Filmmakers Awards is an annual event held in NYC.
The idea is to provide a venue to screen independent films, provide recognition and last but not least an outlet to allow exposition for distribution.
- Festival qualifying short films will be eligible for streaming.
- The festival will screen winning projects at local NYC venues.
- The New York Filmmakers Festival is a short film festival at this time. We will be accepting short films and documentaries with a running time of 15 to 30 minutes.

The winning film will be streamed and promoted on the Independent Filmmakers Channel free for one month.

Official selections can negotiate paid airtime for their film on the Independent Filmmakers Channel.

All Official Selections will be eligible to book airtime on our channel.
- The Indie Channel features Trailers for each project streamed together and individually.
- Pre-recorded content is provided in the VOD section defined by each films genre.
- The Indie Channel streams live and pre-recorded POD casts.
The Independent Filmmakers Channel will provide commercial advertisement targeting the Filmmaker audience, running ads for the latest film equipment, quality lenses, jibs, gimbals, suspension equipment and Apps which elevate independent film production.
DOCUMENTARIES
Documentaries are powerful, shocking, heartbreaking and intense, and each will expand the horizons of the viewers open to learning. Indie is looking for these documentaries, powerful stories of personal triumphs or narrations of the social experiment we call life.
- The Indie Channel is looking for documentaries on real life heroes.
- The Indie Channel is looking for documentaries on the dynamics of our society.
- We are looking for documentaries on new ideas and innovations that drive us forward.
The independent Fimmakers Channel will stream each documentary awarded Winner status on it's channel for one month, with applications to extend the run open to the individual filmmakers choice.
LIVE STREAM EVENTS
Indie's Live streaming technology lets you watch, create and share videos in real time. Our live stream pod contents include blogs, sports, social consciousness and stories of common interest.
- The Indie channel is open to submissions for live podcasts.
- Pod cast submissions should run from 20 - 30 minutes.
- Submit a podcast, exhibiting a riveting topic enhanced by your unique personalities.
Podcasts should be submitted via link to a sample podcast along with a 30 second to 1 minute promotional trailer.
